• The Khanom Jeen (Thai rice noodles) eaten with a curry sauce made from minced fish or shrimps, fresh and preserved vegetables. It’s also delicious when taken with Tai Pla (fish viscera) curries, beefs curry or crab curry. It’s a typical breakfast for the people in Phuket.
• Mee Hokkian or Mee Hun (Amoy noodles) fried with shrimps, prok, shellfish and green cabbage.
• Mee Sapam (orgiginating in Sapan Village) which are noodles with seafood and gravy.
• Ho Mok, it’s a curried fish or seafood dish with coconut milk steamed inside a banana leaf cup.
• Nam Prik Kung Siap, it’s Phuket style hot fermented shrimp paste sauce with sweetened crisp shrimps dip eaten with fresh and steamed vegetables.
• Pineapple called ya-nat by local people, Phuket’s pineapple is sweet, juicy, and not so soft and is expensive.
